The rules

Neither the Crystal River Code (Ch. 12.2, Sec. 12.2-3 park regulations) nor the posted Hunter Springs Park rules mention metal detecting, so no ban was found. Sec. 12.2-3(1) still bars damaging public property, including landscaping, so fill every hole. Crystal River Archaeological State Park and Crystal River Preserve State Park are state land, where Rule 62D-2 limits detecting to designated coastal beach zones, so don't detect there.

Permit: Not required (no permit provision found)
