SC State Parks' Metal Detection Policy assumes detecting is prohibited unless the Park Manager approves it in advance and issues a signed permit for non-sensitive areas, dates and times (S.C. Code 51-3-70). Any historic or prehistoric artifact must be left in place and reported. This Columbia park is not on the policy's banned historic-sites list.
