No detector ban exists in the code, but Douglas Sec. 12.5-5 (Prohibited acts) makes it unlawful to deface, displace or remove park property and to 'damage, cut, carve, transplant, or remove any tree or plant or any part thereof,' which bars recovery digging that damages turf or vegetation. Confirm current practice with Parks and Recreation.
