Atlanta Code Sec. 110-59(29) (Prohibited conduct) bars using metal detectors 'other than for surface metal detection' and states that 'the user or party using detectors is prohibited from digging or otherwise damaging park grounds.' Surface scanning is allowed; any digging or turf damage is not — this includes Piedmont Park and all city parks.
